Important Points in Finding the Best Auto Loan

It is exciting to hold the key of your brand new car. However, the most challenging part is the process of paying it. You can either buy a new car paid in cash – full or installment basis. It depends upon your preference. You can also settle with an Auto Loan.

There are six points to consider when getting an Auto Loan. Putting these in ming can make you drive anywhere knowing that you took the right deal for you.

Manage your Credit. It is ideal for you to assess your credit before applying for a loan. This is the initial step for acquiring the best deal for your car. In some countries, they are offering their client for free credit report, if it happens that your desired firm can provide you this, you should use it as your resources. You should check the details and do something if it needs you to fix it. Presence of errors or bad credits will influence your loan rate.

Identify how far you can spend. You should assess your capability to pay the rates for loan. Ideally, there are people who can help you with this, but it is best if you can track your budget depending on the extent of your convenience. This way, you can organize your payments in the future.

Look at the Actual Scenario. There are times that people who wanted to loan from lending banks would prefer low down payments. Probably because this is much affordable for now. However, if you try to compute the extent of the succeeding payments, you will find out that it is much expensive than the usual market value. Sometimes it is better to settle with higher down payment because the interest rates are lesser compare to low down payments.

Consider Auto Insurance. Ask the lending firm if they are requiring their clients to avail of insurances. This is referred to life and disability insurance coverage. The purpose for this is to provide an assurance for the lending corporation in terms of payment if in case that you have suffered from unfortunate events.

Look for alternatives. It is appreciated to stay in one source but it is much appreciated if you try to ask and check other lending firm that can offer you with this loan. You might found out that your chosen lending firm does not offer you the best deals.

Avoid penalties. You have to make sure that you can meet the requirements and criteria for paying. Ask your chosen lending firm if their payment is flexible. Avoid extra charges as much as possible. This can cause you more expenses and it is not reasonable anymore.

A Different Kind of Chase – Volvo Trucks versus Bulls in Spain

Ever wanted to run with the bulls but too afraid of actually getting hit? Even if it’s your first time to put your bravery and agility to the test, nothing could be more important than living another day to tell about it.

Driving a Volvo truck is more or less the closest thing you could get to doing it without risking getting skewered by the bull’s horns. 😛 If you never thought a 12-tonne truck can be maneuvered through winding, narrow streets, then Volvo wants you to rethink again as seen in the video below.

In their latest attempt to demonstrate the capability of their product range, the small and agile Volvo FL took to the narrow, serpentine roads of Ciudad Rodrigo, home of the original Running of the Bulls or encierro. Driven by precision driver Rob Hunt, the red-painted truck maneuvered through skillfully despite the given landscape and added pressure of being chased by a herd of 800 kg bulls!

If you aren’t familiar with the encierro, it is a Spanish practice, that has gained worldwide fame, where a group of bulls (up to a dozen) are let loose on a course of a barricaded section of a town. They are set loose from the off-site corrals where they had spent the night, to the bullring where a bullfight would occur later on.Young adults try to race in front of the bulls – bringing both fear and excitement in the practice.

Now, imagine all the hullaballoo and throw a red Volvo truck in the picture! ^_^

Directed by Oscar-nominated Henry Alex Rubin, “The Chase” is Volvo’s latest commercial, done with 28 cameras and a crew of 250 people, 50 professional bull runners and hundreds of townspeople watching on the sidelines. (Worry not, there were also  2 veterinary teams and 28 medics, complemented by 8 police teams as well.) We could see the bull runners dressed traditionally in red and white, running for their lives, other clinging on to whatever they can. Wise as they were, some decided to just jump into the truck and run with it!

Learn How To Purchase The Car Of Your Dreams!

Want to buy a new car without the struggle typical of the purchasing process? You’re not alone! This article has been written with you in mind, including advice from people who have purchased cars before without any struggle at all. Continue reading to find out how you can buy your car in a fun and easy manner.

Rather than buying a brand-new car, purchase a lightly used one that is only a couple of years old. Many cars come with transferable warranties that last for three years or 36,000 miles. You will save a significant amount over buying new, and the warranty will give you peace of mind for the first year or so.

If you are going to be purchasing a used car, one of the top things you should be looking at is the mileage of the car. As nice as a car may be, if it has 150,000 miles on it already, you probably will not get much use out of it.

Do your research before you even step foot on a car lot. You want to have an educated position when it comes to such a large purchase. It is a good idea to know what models you are interested in, and what the fair price is for those specific cars.

Be aggressive and assertive. You will inevitably end up negotiating the price of your vehicle, so don’t be afraid to push a little. Be prepared to walk away from the dealership if you aren’t making progress. Leave the offer alone for a day or two, and then contact the salesman again. If they know that you are willing to walk away, they will be more likely to accept your offer or to counter-offer with a more reasonable price.

Call your bank about financing ahead of your purchase. This is important for your security. You’ll know how much you’ll be charged at the bank, allowing you to better negotiate with the dealer for financing.

Check the BBB rating of your local car dealers before you visit them according to Faulkner-Ciocca Ford. As you likely already know, car dealers can be less than honest. Save yourself from a lot of stress and expense by investigating how others feel about the car dealer. The time it takes is nothing compared to the time you can waste at a sheisty dealer.

When you are considering buying a used car, always have your mechanic check it out first. You are not a qualified mechanic trained to spot problems or repairs, so you need to take it to a professional. Be prepared to pay $100 or so for this service, but it may end up saving you thousands.

When buying a compact or subcompact car, make sure that it has enough room for each person who will drive it. The car may be your daily driver, but it may not have enough leg room for others in your household. If there is a chance that someone else will drive the car occasionally, bring them along while shopping.

Find out the vehicle’s mileage before you agree to purchase it. Even if you know a particular car should get a certain gas mileage, be sure that it still does. A car can lose its efficiency overtime, which can mean a large expense in getting to the places you need to go.

If you are absolutely in love with a certain color or interior finish, don’t settle for less. Though the specific vehicle that you want might not be in stock at your local dealership, ask them if they can get it for you. Most dealerships have relationships with other dealerships and will trade vehicles back and forth. Keep in mind though, you might end up paying a little bit extra to cover some of the costs of the trade.

Do not base your car buying decision solely on price. While price is certainly important, so is the reputation of the dealership. You want to find a place that is known for great customer service and standing behind the cars they sell in case you have any problems down the road.

Although monthly payments are important when considering a new car purchase, many times a dealership will extend the length of the loan and raise the interest rate to get smaller payments. To avoid this do not negotiate payment amounts until you have negotiated the sales price of the vehicle.

Many of the perks a dealer offers are really expensive, including rust-proofing, paint sealant and anti-theft devices. Shop around before you even approach the lot to find out what local car shops are charging for these services, and then take the quotes you get with you to either get a deal from the dealer or skip those add-ons totally.

Not every dealership or salesperson is the same. The stereotypical overbearing salesman is no longer the standard. The landscape in sales is changing, as a lot of salesman are becoming kinder. Just turn around and walk away if you are feeling pressured. Believe it or not, some salespeople are quite pleasant to work with.

While you do have to put in some effort to make the car buying process simpler, it won’t take a lot of work. Just use these tips and do what they say and you’ll find buying a car is a piece of cake. Driving off the lot in a shiny new car is an exceptional feeling!

Toyota Tacoma, Versatile Pickup Truck

Although the typical car offers good gas mileage and practicality, there are also many distinct advantages to owning a pickup truck. Whether you need to haul a load of mulch or tow a race car to the track, a pickup truck is designed to get the job done with ease. Here are some of the benefits of owning a pickup truck.

Safety
The majority of pickup trucks on the market are designed to be tough and rugged. From a safety perspective, this is a very important trait. In the event of a sudden crash, the strong frame of the truck will help to enhance the protection of its occupants. Furthermore, many of today’s trucks are also loaded with innovative safety features such as rear-view cameras and active headrests. Trucks are also a great way to maneuver in adverse weather conditions, especially the ones that are equipped with 4WD.

Versatility
Most pickup trucks are surely capable of hauling loads, but many of them are also very capable of becoming daily-drivers. The best part is that some pickup trucks do not even sacrifice driving dynamics. The Toyota Tacoma offers great handling and a commendable gas mileage during daily commutes. Trucks designed with double cabs provide increased room for the entire family.

Ability to go off-road
The truth of the matter is that the average sedan does not possess the ruggedness to go off-road. On the other hand, the ground clearance of a truck enables it to tackle obstacles that would halt most cars.

Cost of Ownership Cars

When the average consumer looks into buying a new or used vehicle, they consider the cost of buying that vehicle instead of considering the cost of owning it. They usually base their decision on three things:

* Interest rate
* Down payment
* Monthly payments

However, there are some hidden expenses that even seasoned consumers aren’t fully aware of that go into the total cost of ownership cars and trucks ultimately incur. These hidden costs are based in part on how that vehicle compares with others in its class, the amount of depreciation, and the cost of insuring that vehicle.

Let’s take the last factor, for example. Many assume that the cost of auto insurance depends on their driving record. While that is basically true, car insurance rates also depend on the type of vehicle they are insuring. Insurance agents look at factors such as:

* The safety record for that particular make and model
* Crime statistics for that type of vehicle, such as reported thefts of a specific model
* Crime statistic for the area the vehicle is housed in, such as vandalism and personal property crimes
* The intended use of the vehicle, such as whether it is for business or personal use

Consumers can find out more about cost comparisons by vehicle by looking up that information for a specific dealer or car manufacturer. There are also independent agencies that provide consumer comparisons of vehicles in all classes for the purpose of providing a public service. An informed consumer is a smarter consumer.

The Ford S-Max versus the Ford Mondeo

The massive quantity of cars to choose from, the large variety of standard and add-on features and the plethora of financing options can make purchasing a car seem like climbing Mount Everest. Research is always the best thing to do before going to buy a car.

Two excellent SUV-crossovers and sedans recently released from Ford are the Ford S-Max and the Ford Mondeo. The Ford S-Max is a luxury crossover that comfortably seats seven people. With folding second and third row seating, this vehicle comes with 32 different seating options for optimal storage as well as passenger load. Ford Mondeo

The Ford S-Max Zetec will not break the bank, especially considering how well it retaons value. It’s economic and gets 30 miles to the gallon on the road. The Ford S-Max Titanium comes in at just a bit more and also gets 30 miles to the gallon on the road. The Ford S-Max Titanium Sport is the largest of the S-Max series, costing the most out of these 3 and gets about 29 miles to the gallon on the motorway.

The Mondeo Edge will set you back around around 12 grand but gets 32 miles to the gallon on the road.

Whichever you choose is down to personal preference and the size of your family and needs! You can be guaranteed that they’re all great cars though.

The Lamborghini Aventador: Hearing the Roar of a Ferocious Bull God

Lamborghini has done it again and has come up with another sinister of a sports car. The Aventador’s 700hp V12 engine makes it the most powerful sports car around. It was not surprising that Lamborghini chose this name for this new model. Aventador is the name of the famous bull that fought a most courageous battle at the Trofeo de la Pena La Madronera held at the Saragossa Arena in 1993. The Lamborghini LP700-4 Aventador faces the sports car arena as the car company’s flagship racer. Evidently, this fierce racer is fitted with everything to beat all others on the race track.

All of the Aventador’s 4.78m x 2.26m x 1.14m body has been specially designed and engineered for the best aerodynamics possible, integrating front and rear spoilers into the body’s shell. The entire body is optimized for directional stability and high speed handling. The look of the Aventador is imposing with its bi-xenon headlamps beaming from its glossy black frames. Its sides stretch out in sweeping strokes that look like sinewy muscles that extend towards the rear wheel. The upward-opening doors add the distinctive Lamborghini mark to the Aventador – the air intakes behind these doors double as cooling features for the engine.

The heart of the Aventador is its 6.5-L V12 engine that racks up 700hp at 8,250 rpm and a torque of 509 lb/ft at 5,500rpm. This first all-new Lamborghini developed engine is an improvement over the previous V12 versions. This engine manages to get up to 60mph from standstill in only 2.9 seconds. Stepping on the gas kicks up the needle to a top speed of 217 mph. The faster speed is achieved with the lighter load brought about by the aluminium-silicon alloy used in the engine casing. On the whole, the Aventador still packs the highest power to weight ration in the sports car arena. Even as Lamborghini has pumped up its production line for the Aventador, the list of people willing to shell out almost $400,000 and waiting in line for this sports car is still quite long.

History of Radio Controlled Cars

Radio controlled cars have come a long way over the last few decades. Since the mid-1900’s, enthusiast’s have been clamoring to the store shelves to scoop up parts and accessories for their projects. But did you know that radio controlled cars have actually been around for much longer, as early back as World War II? Few people are aware that radio controlled technology has been around since the 1940’s but wasn’t a public commodity until the mid-1960’s.

The very first remote controlled car was introduced by Elettronica Giacattoli in 1966, by an Italian company that introduced the Ferrari 250LM and later followed with the Ferrari P4. It didn’t take long for Britain and the United States to follow suit.

By the 1970’s, the U.S. witnessed a jump in radio controlled car sales and gave way to improved technology to make the already popular models faster, more customizable and more affordable.

It was thanks in large part to the increased interest in this hobby that organized races began popping up all over the place. Enthusiasts all over the world now had life size models to lust after but that didn’t keep radio control car sales down and it didn’t keep them from forming their own model car races.

As decades passed, the models turned to increased speeds, advanced components and a wider selection of models. Parts were introduced to make that radio controlled car even faster and last longer. Of course this has impacted the price of ready out of the box models which is part of the reason more and more hobbyists are building their own from scratch; right down to the lug nuts. Advances in technology make it even easier to build the car they want.

Since the introduction of lithium-ion batteries, technology has exploded in the radio controlled car world. Modern day cars run longer and faster and look cooler in general.

Today there are a many different brands and types available for radio controlled cars. Duratrax RC cars, Axial, Electrix XC, and Venom are only a few names of the popular options available for hobbyists to choose from.

Although organized races for radio controlled cars has seen a decline in registrations over the last few years, you’re still likely to see a kid running his car up and down the street or a dad out at the park teaching his kid all the tricks.

There’s no sign that radio controlled cars are losing momentum anymore and with all of the newest gadgets and technology, the kids playing in the park with their dad today will someday be that dad that wants to pass down his knowledge of the miniature sport.

Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder Power on the Road

This Lamborghini moves as great on the road as it looks good in the driveway. Car lovers are sure to turn heads when they take the Gallardo Spyder on the road. It’s not just eye-candy. Its powerful specs overdeliver on the promise of a driver-oriented sports car. Considered as an exotic car, the 2-seater Gallardo was met with great success, selling over 12,000 units since its first appearance in 2003 at the Geneva Motor Show. Numerous other variants came after the first Gallardo. The latest addition to this sports car line is the LP550-2 Spyder.

lambo
Race it!

The Spyder is a rear-wheel drive model, following Lamborghini’s 1998 Diablo SV Roadster. Industry experts compare this to the LP550-2 Valentino Balboni, a rare model that was launched in 2009 and aptly named after the company’s chief test driver. The company tweaked the roof on the Spyder for a drop-top version of the famed sports car model.

Peeling off the aluminum skin of the Spyder will reveal a powerful 550-hp 5.2L V10 engine that torques at 398 lb/ft. It connects to an automated gearbox that allows for 6-speed single-clutch transmission. The electro-hydraulic e-gear automatic transmission hooks up to paddle shifters conveniently mounted right on the column behind the steering wheel. There are also buttons with pre-programmed gear shifting modes to activate Sport, Automatic, and Corsa settings. The Corsa sets this model apart from all others as it makes for faster shifting for larger drift angles.

The Spyder revs up to 60mph in a quick 3.9-second period. Its top speed of 198mph does not quite put it up to speed with other recent race track faves. But, this speed augurs well for normal road conditions. This sports car guzzles gas at about 13mpg on city driving and 20mpg on highway driving. It retails steeply at a little over $250,000. For racers who want to feel the wind and the sun on their faces while enjoying a smooth and powerful ride, the Spyder is definitely best choice.

The Speediest Bug Around

The Volkswagen engineers have done it again – they’ve put another bug on the road that’s not easy to squash. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse top down made an appearance at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. As beautiful as the Bianco and Light Blue open-wheel racer looks on the pedestal, the test of the mettle is on the road. And roadsters were not disappointed when they took the Vitesse for a test ride.

bugatti veyron vitesse
Fall in Love

Here’s what they found:

Road tests proved Bugatti’s claim that the Vitesse can go from 0-62 mph at an amazing record time of 2.6 seconds. Under the hood is a forced-induction quad-turbo W16 engine that racks up an output of 1,200 horsepower at 6,400 rpm, and a maximum torque of 1,100 lb./ft. at 5,000 rpm. Top speed of almost 255 mph can be reached on the laps. Normal road driving can push the pedal only up to 233 mph. The Vitesse has a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and a modified air ducting on the drivetrain. Even with the increased output, the engineers of this Bugatti have succeeded in coming up with system configuration that result in reduced fuel consumption. Its four-pump fuel tank takes after the earlier Bugatti Super Sport.

This bug is definitely no ordinary bug. Although more than a few units of this Bugatti rolled off the factories, there is not likely to be a lot of these on the roads. The production of the Grand Sport line of Bugatti is capped at 150, including all variants of this model. The limited number of units of this Bugatti and its high price tag of more than 2 million dollars make this speedster truly a car for the elite. As the moneyed scramble to get their hands on one of these bugs, Jay Leno already has one of his own — a Grand Prix winner, parked in his garage.
